Taftie was registered in 1992 as a French Association.
The Presidency rotates every year among members.
The Assistant Secretary assists the Chair with the preparations of meetings and the follow-up activities.

Taftie is governed by a Board in which all Members are represented.
The Executive Working Group, which also has a delegate from each member organisation, is the body that prepares decisions to be taken in the Board and monitors the progress of the work being performed in the various Task Forces and Working Groups.

Members share information and experiences and work on topics of mutual interest in Task Forces, Networks and  (ad hoc) Working Groups.

The Taftie Academy offers Staff Trainings and Networking Workshops on topics that are not covered by external (commercial) organisations. The activities are organised and hosted by Taftie Members with the help of (mainly internal) experts.
