Mission
Luxinnovation is a key partner for anyone looking to engage in innovation activities in Luxembourg – company founders, entrepreneurs and researchers as well as foreign enterprises and investors. In this context, Luxinnovation acts as facilitator for businesses that are seeking national or European funding, planning to launch innovative projects or aiming to expand their business and innovation partnerships at international level. The Agency also contributes to the country’s sector-specific trade promotion as well as economic prospection to attract foreign investors.
Activities
Luxinnovation provides advisory and support services to both companies and researchers who are seeking national or European funding for their R&D and innovation projects. Clients benefit from guidance to find the most appropriate funding available and develop successful applications. Luxinnovation is the National Contact Point for Horizon 2020 and the European Space Agency as well as the National Project Coordinator for EUREKA.
Luxinnovation supports the establishment of innovative start-ups in Luxembourg and helps existing companies – in particular SMEs – improve their performance, innovation capacities and management skills through several dedicated programmes and services offering specialised advice and expertise.
Luxinnovation plays a proactive and leading role in all marketing and communication efforts around Luxembourg’s trade promotion and economic prospection activities. Key tasks include general as well as sector-targeted trade promotion and prospection to help Luxembourg companies enter new foreign markets and to attract foreign investors to Luxembourg. The Agency also coordinates technology-driven clusters bringing together key national players from the Automotive Components, CleanTech, ICT, Life Sciences, Materials and Production Technologies and Space sectors. The Clusters foster exchange between their members and stimulate joint collaborative and innovative projects.
