Korea Institute for Advancement of Technology (KIAT)
KIAT, Korea Advancement of Technology was established in 2009 May as a quasi-governmental organization under the Ministry of Industry, Trade and Energy.
KIAT provides a range of tailored supports for enterprises ranging from industrial technology policy planning to academic-industrial collaboration, local industry promotion, middle-sized enterprises support, technology commercialization, research foundation building, material components industry support, and international technical cooperation.
KIAT, as a national funding agency for international R&D cooperation, actively collaborates with international partners worldwide. KIAT had also set up three oversea offices in Brussels, Washington DC, and Hanoi to facilitate and strengthen global R&D cooperation.
Korea is the first partner country of Eureka network, and is engaged in bilateral R&D cooperation with 14 countries. KIAT is also a member of Enterprise Europe Network(EEN).
