Follow Up Networking Workshop Best Practice for International Missions

Date & Place: 02-03 December 2019, Edinburgh

Time:             Monday, 2 December: 12:00 -17:30, Tuesday 3 December: 09:00-16:30

Host:             Innovate UK

Speaker:        Scottish Government, Scottish Enterprise, Emily Nott + Zoe Jones (Innovate UK)

Moderator:     Peter Dirken, Innovate UK

The successful workshop on international innovation missions in Luxembourg in early February of this year showed that participant countries shared many common elements and challenges. It was clear at the end of the workshop that there was a lot of appetite to follow up with further discussions and knowledge sharing. As a result, a further workshop has been scheduled to take place in the beautiful city of Edinburgh in Scotland, hosted by Innovate UK. The dates for this workshop are Monday 2 and Tuesday 3 December 2019 (with a team meal in the city centre during the evening of 2 December).

We intend to discuss in detail the methods to evaluate innovation missions, recap our discussions around approaches, updates on current plans, a longer session on diversity and inclusion and country-to-country partnering on international innovation missions.

Please find here the details of the previous workshop:

The formal workshop runs from lunch time on Monday to eop Tuesday, but we have included an optional morning to cover Scotland’s economic and innovation approach. This is entirely optional, but a good way to find out what makes the Scottish economy tick, what the key priorities are, how they fit into the overall UK approach, I hope you can make it!

It would mean you’d have to travel to Edinburgh on Sunday, but it is a beautiful city, so a good excuse to come early and have a good look around.

Monday, 2 December: 12:00 -17:30

Tuesday 3 December: 09:00-16:30
